Late-night shooting reported in downtown Keene

KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – A shooting occurred early Tuesday morning near Lab n’ Lager bar on Main Street in Keene.

Police were alerted shortly after midnight and quickly arrived on the scene, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release.

The injured individual was promptly transported to Cheshire Medical Center by ambulance, the release said. According to police, his injuries are not life-threatening. Authorities believe that all individuals involved in the incident have been identified, though the investigation is still ongoing. The suspect reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived.

The Keene Police Department received assistance from the Keene Fire Department, New Hampshire State Police, and Swanzey Police Department during the response. Local detectives are now seeking further information and encourage anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Detective Don Lundin or Detective Jen Truman at 357-9813.
